CINDERELLA DID GO TO THE BALL-part II . . . Updated 12th December 2009

Back at Hardup Castle the Broker's men have sneaked back in and are planning a visit to Rome which is full of "Ruins, magnificent ruins"

BEHIND YOU!

At the sight of this georgeous? duo ,Brown and Darling beat a hasty retreat

The audience are then serenaded by these two, trying to convince everybody that they are pretty and witty, I leave it to you to make up your own minds.

This bonhomie doesn't last long and very soon the pair of them are arguing and end up as near as they can get to a face to face confrontation

With everybody else getting ready for the Prince's Ball, Cinderella and Buttons are preparing to make the best of it with a quiet night in, little knowing that their plans are about to change

The Fairy Godmother, more or less assisted by Wanda prepares to send Cinderella off to the Ball with the the aid of a bit of Magic.

"I can't go to the ball in this" our Fairy's magic is a bit dicey and despite a lot of flashing and banging Cinders is left in a tablecloth and goes off in tears.

",WhoopsI think you got it a bit wrong there" Wanda notices The Fairy Godmother's magic spell has misfired, and Buttons appears to be underdressed and even more confused than usual.

Wanda comes to the rescue and all goes well at the second attempt.

"Frogs and Mice will coachmen be, dressed up in fine livery"

With Cinderella decked out in her Ball Gown the Fairy is on a roll as she weaves her magic spells Coachmen and Horses appear and then in a cloud of smoke . . .

The Pumpkin miraculously changes into a Coach for Cinderella to go to the Ball while the audience retires to the bar for the Interval

Refreshed and refurbished, the audience find themselves at Prince Charming's Castle where Dandini has planned a Dancing Competition and is attempting to explain the concept to the Prince and the storytellers who have been roped in as judges for the event

Dandini introduces the first couple who, quite understandably, leave Prince Charming slightly underwhelmed

" How about that one over there?"In a desperate attempt to conjure up a rather more attractive couple Prince Charming and Dandini survey the audience for a bit more talent and eventually find a extra couple to make up the numbers

"This beautiful girl will be my partner" Cinderella arrives, the Prince takes one look and decides the she will be the girl to partner him for the evening.>

Salmonella and Brown then launch into the Tango or something resembling same . . .

Cinders and the Prince make a rather more elegant couple as they strut their stuff across the stage

Not entirely satisfied with the quality of the Judging the Prince decrees that the audience should decide the result, by some miracle Dandini has a Clapometer on hand and one couple is eliminated by some very dodgy manipulation of this technical marvel

The second round is the Jive and Mr Darling seems to have found the groove, so much so, that in the excitement, both of the Brokers men manage to beat a retreat.

The result;
(as if it were ever in doubt) is that the Prince and his partner win the competion. But the clock strikes midnight and Cinders runs off

"The love of my live - she's gorn" Cinderella disappears into the night, Prince Charming is distraught and Dandini looks pretty upset as well.

But all is not lost The Prince has found Cinder's slipper and vows to search the kingdom, to find and marry, the girl whose foot it fits.

Will the Prince find the girl of his dreams?
