With all the complications from power cuts, low power and enough wind to blow everything away, the Over-Sixty Fives Christmas Dinner planned for the evening of Monday 9th was looking a bit dubious at lunchtime on the day.

Fortunately power was restored, a generator was on hand in case of any further problems and Camilla & David Hartley were finally able to give the go-ahead just in time for almost everybody to get organised and set out for the Church.

The Tables began to fill, Drinks were distributed and before long it was time for David Hartley to welcome everybody to the event and apologise for a very temporary reduction in the temperature due to the lack of heating time after various electrical problems during the day! Although it very soon reached a more comfortable level!
Wine, beer or non alcoholic beverages were freely distributed to the guest and the volunteer waitresses set to distributing the Christmas Dinner to the Guests which was very well received!

Following the meal and distribution of Coffey or Tea the hard working volunteer waitresses revealed their singing expertise as they led the Diners through several Carols, before the singing of the The National Anthem ()

Photographers and volunteers were able to catch their images of the Happy Diners before everybody gathered themselves together to make their way home.
