Once again the 'Biz' photographer was in action at the Rose and Crown, this time for the presentation of the Farringdon and Chawton Parish Magazine, Villager of the Year Awards.

The presentation was also an opportunity for the VIllage Magazine Editorial Team, Patrick and Di Fuller,(I'm not absolutely certain which one is Editor in Chief !) and Treasurer John Prynne and to thank all those volunteers who distribute the free monthly publication to all households in Farringdon and Chawton. Unfortunately Marianne Prynne, who looks after the advertising which funds the Magazine and provides sufficient income to sponsor both the Farringdon Biz and Chawton Village web sites was not able to make the event

Helen Lea, elected Chawton Villager of the Year by her fellow residents, receiving her Plaque from Patrick . . .

In addition to the certificates, the prize included a dinner for two, generously donated by the Greyfriars in Chawton and the Rose and Crown for the Farringdon winners.

While Helen was a clear winner in Chawton, in Farringdon the result was much closer with Sue Fifield BEM not that many votes behind the winners.

Steve and Debbie, who own the Rose and Crown, have generously donated their prize to Sue Fifield who, with a friend of her choice, will enjoy dinner for two at the Rose and Crown.
