The Spring Show - Updated 3rd May 2022

Farringdon Horticultural Society were. at last, able to hold their Annual Spring Show in the Church last Saturday (30th April) although the weather, as per usual, caused some problems, as the unusually warm period in the run-up to the event left few daffodils still in bloom and not much in the way of alternatives for exhibitors to enter his year.

As a result numbers were down but those that were entered produced a fair display of colour in the sunshine.

Flower arrangements were in the majority but a few tulips and other later Spring flowers, wild and cultivated were also in evidence.

Despite the low number of entries, there was still plenty to discuss when exhibitors arrived to see how their exhibits had been received by the Judge.

Top honours went to Chrys Browne (who also won the photography class with the entry on the right)
seen below being presented with her Diploma by Farringdon Horticultural Society C-in-C Phyll Watts
