MEETING
OF FARRINGDON PARISH COUNCIL
5 January 2005
At a short meeting of Council, the continuing deplorable lack of attention to Brightstone Lane was highlighted; correspondence from our EHDC Councillor and EHDC Works Manager failed to reassure Council that the necessary attention to road sweeping, drain servicing and clearance of gullies and ditches would be achieved without further pressure, which would continue.
Council agreed that the Parish precept remains the same at £5,500.00 for the forthcoming year; small increments to the Alton CAB and FPCC were agreed.
The Clerk advised that a new missive from the Government Office for the South-East indicated that a consultative document would be received imminently on the future of housing planning for the area.
Numerous smaller
items affecting the village and its environments were raised for action, and
Cllr Chris Taylor accepted the chairing role for the management of the "kick-around
area" and new children's play area to be sited on Chase Field following
its redevelopment.
