DINNER IN THE FOLLY Part 2 - Updated 16th December 2007

More pictures from the Farringdon Christmas Dinner held in the Follly last Monday (9th Dec).

Dinner is served, as the Maitre d' organises the distribution of the main course with a bevy of waitresses/ers maintaining a chain of supply from the kitchen. Dinner is served
More wine sir?
With the main course underway the wine began to circulate and the volume of conversation increased in direct proportion to the of red and white dispensed
Requests for a bottle and a straw were politely refused although a clash of ties was almost inevitable given the time of year Just leave the bottle please
Perhaps just another small one The flow rate was equalled on the other side of the hall with frequent pit stops to restock with full bottles
Donning the marigolds The first washing up shift was underway in the kitchen

Your photographers presence was swiftly detected and yours truly retreated into the main hall

Just throw him out
Im sure nobody is counting It would appear that some individuals made a greater demand on the wine waiters than others.

The coffee production line swung into action and the loaded trays were delivered to the Hall . . .

One more
Coffee time . . . to be enjoyed by all, with or without a fetching hat
With the meal complete it was time to make the draw for the Hamper of goodies and present it to this years lucky winner. The lucky winner

While shepherds watchedAuld lang syne

To round off the evening the Rev.Tony Pears led the assembled throng through a number of popular carols with a sprited rendering of the National Anthem and a chorus of Auld Lang Syne

As the diners meandered home, the table decorations were cleared and packed away Gently does it
Go AWAY Sally enjoyed a short dance with a stack of tables while, at the same time, making faces at your photographer and .avoiding serious injury from over enthusiastic table stackers.

Cinders was left to sweep the floor and the entire company departed after yet another excellent Christmas Dinner in Farringdon.

Thanks to all those who organised and assisted in making the event possible, especially the Andrews Clan for their indispensible services

(Special thanks from yours truly for an excellent meal and for putting up with my constant interference throughout the evening)

Is it a glass slipper?
