HOUNDS PARADE AT HALL FARM. . Updated 24th February 2007

The meet at Hall Farm

Waiting for the Off

The sun was shining on Hall Farm Paddocks for the Farringdon Meet of The Hampshire Hunt on the 3rd February. The spring like weather brringing out a number of Villagers to join the regular hunt supporters.

Anyone for a glass of port?Of course there are certain and absolutely essential traditions to be followed and Hostess Hoppa Cavendish was on hand with the essentials to prime the mounted and foot followers before the pack moves off into the surrounding farm land.(Those who suggested your photographer's interest in the event might be influenced by the refreshments on offer should note that the drinks passed by untouched)

Getting the benefit of Vecta's advice

While on the subject of traditions Vecta will always certainly be in the proximity if the the Hampshire Hunt is meeting, especially if the venue is on home ground in Farringdon.
Smile pleaseThere were a number of other cameras in action on the day with Richard keeping a careful eye on things while Kate was taking pictures for the family album.

Hounds and Hunting Pink

The Hounds were now ready to move off through the village and into the surrounding countryside.

Passing the Drift

As usual your photographer was in the wrong place but fortunately, a proper photographer Sylvia Goodall (who very generously allowed me to use her picture)was on hand to capture the hounds moving off down Hall Lane into the village.
