STATEMENT FROM THE MASSEY'S FOLLY PRESERVATION TRUST - updated 24th March 2009.
In view of the recent decision of the Village Hall Management Committee, MFPT have deferred its application for available funding to restore Massey's Folly.
It is worth noting that Massey's Folly has already been on the Hampshire "At Risk" register for some years and the survey of last summer showed that the cost of necessary repairs alone stood at over £200,000 for the Village Hall section of the building. MFPT as a building Preservation Trust remain committed to preserving this heritage building for the Village and the future.
Unfortunately the Trust is unable to continue fund raising for the time being since it is necessary for the whole building to be under one ownership for the duration of the restoration.
