THE BISHOP VISITS FARRINGDON. . . Updated 15th January 2007

The Rt. Reverend Trevor Wilmott, Bishop of Basingstoke officiated at the confirmation service in Farringdon on the 4th January and is pictured here, after the service, with the candidates.

After the service the congregation retired to the Village Hall where the usual services were on offer from the tea counter with the ever youthful Peggy among the ladies dishing out tea to the congregation.

 

Alice Freddie and Felicity looking a trifle more relaxed now the formalities were completed.

 

The Bishop joined the gathering in the Hall and took the opportunity for an informal chat with the Candidates and their families.

The Rt. Reverend Trevor Willmott will be returning to All Saints in Farringdon on the 4th of February for a Special Family Service at 4 p.m. to welcome the new Young Family Worker Philip Dixon .
Philip with his wife Jan and children Christian and Emily will introduce Family Services to the four other Churches in the Benefice.

Please Note that this service will replace the monthly Family Service programme which will return to normal schedule with a Service on Sunday 4th March at 10 am.
