CHRISTMAS EVENING AT ALL SAINTS. . . Updated 12th January 2010
'Twas the second week in December and with 25th December just a fortnight away, what better time to hold the Christmas Evening in All Saints Church. Just follow the candlelight to the Church Door for a variety of delights including mulled Wine and, I speak from experience here a very tasty minced pie
As usual your reporter arrived rather late in the day when the early birds had retreated to the warmth of their firesides but there were still a few people enjoying the odd glass while intense negotiations were going on in the background.
The Tombola Stall was something of a family affair with Catherine offering daughter Anna the chance to pick a winning ticket from the Golden Bucket

Another Anne was in deep conversation in the aisle at yet another of the selection of stalls set up around the Church.
In all a very successful evening, which, once the figures were totted up raised £967 which will go part of the way to meeting the financial demands on our Parish Church which, as well as maintaining the fabric of the building and the Churchyard has to raise £14398 annually as part of the Diocesan Quota.
Further fund-raising events are planned in February and March full details are on the [Church Page]
